Founded on June
1, 1978, Toastmasters of La Jolla is a member club of Toastmasters
International, a worldwide organization with over 10,500 clubs and more
than 200,000 members, in over 90 countries. Toastmasters began in
1924 with a mission that remains the same today:

The mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually supportive
and positive learning environment in which every member has the
opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in
turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
